INTRODUCTION  and  WELCOME!

Chimmesyan Indian people of British Columbia say that friends who are reunited after long absence have walked together "in the shadow of a rainbow."   How broad, how bright, will the rainbow-shadow of our SYDA days prove to be?

One of Heaven's great gifts to the people of Siddha Yoga has been one another.  This page has the pleasant purpose of helping these people locate and reunite with others they have met through Siddha Yoga.  We welcome all who approach in good faith and good will, irrespective of their relationship with the tradition and its personnel past, present, and future.  And, of course, it's free of charge.

Over a period of many years I met numerous people of exceptional quality in Siddha Yoga, and I remember them all with great respect and great love.  I'd like to meet them again; their memory is more precious than gold.  Others probably share the same wish.  With the connections thus forged we can strengthen ourselves, each other, and perhaps the world.

We offer you this page to meet that need.

NEW! This section is New and Under Construction, June 2008
In its original form, this was not a discussion group - but that will change in its forthcoming new incarnation.   This will be a place for people to share their positive experiences in Siddha Yoga; the transforming impact that it's had on all aspects of our lives, personal, social and civic.   How are the values and experience of Siddha Yoga relevant to the great issues facing humankind today - war and peace, abundance and want; justice, bridgebuilding and more?   This, too, is a fertile area for discussion.

We certainly want to protect people's privacy and security.   How can we enable people to get in touch with each other, while honoring their security at the same time?   We'll want to address this issue.

The main activity is hosted on Yahoogroups, and this web page will serve as a portal, visible to internet web search, that points people to that page.   NEW! September 24, 2008:   Click here to visit the Yahoogroups page, where you can easily join the group.   You may also contact the editor, Charles Mitravan Stevenson, at sydapals AT geotrees. com if you have any questions, comments or suggestions!

Please note that SydaPals is not available for acrimony, attacks, rumormongering and gossip* concerning the succession, the organization, or any related personnel.

*  For an excellent perspective and practical guidelines on the principles of spiritual speech, I highly recommend the bold dharma teachings of R. Yisrael Meir Kagan of Radin, 1838-1935 CE, otherwise known as the Chofetz Chaim.   He worked within the Jewish tradition, but at levels where his knowledge became valuable for anyone interested in living as a true human being.   Visit www.artscroll.com publishers, or any good Jewish bookstore, for specific titles.   Recommended: A Lesson a Day and Lessons in Truth.
